I Love Science ...And I'm Not Afraid to Say It.
Where is the love?
When I look around me, I see so many people who have lost their love of science, who never had it in the first place, or who are too afraid of judgement to embrace their love. I think this fact is tragic and I lament that those who love science are often ridiculed by their peers. This is my attempt to change that - to make science a subject I can love without being laughed at for loving it.
I love science and I am not afraid to share this fact with the people around me. Loving science is a part of who I am. It fundamentally changes the way I think and approach situations in life. Science is far more than sitting in a classroom. Science is always being allowed to ask why. Science is a way of thinking. Science is where it is okay to guess wrong. Science is where you learn best by messing up. Science is the world and everything in it. Science is the story, the web of interconnected research, that explains this world. It is the "why," the "how come," the "but what if'." It is the curiosity that is essential to the human spirit.
So, here is to the extraordinary wonders of science and the joy that we may find in exploring them!
